Roza Masoumi, DM, MBA, RDH
With over ten years of clinical, consultative, marketing, and management experience in the dental industry, Roza Masoumi DM, MBA, RDH, offers expert business consulting services for startup dental practices throughout the country.
Roza began her career as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Her early experiences as a Dental Hygienist influenced her career path and helped her find passion in the business aspect of dentistry: Process improvement, increasing efficiencies, increasing revenue, and business management. She has since obtained a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA), and a Doctorate in Organizational Management (DM) to fully realize her passion for helping dental practices grow. While earning an MBA in Healthcare Management from the University of Baltimore, she became a dental practice management and marketing consultant for a leading national consulting firm, helping dental businesses increase revenue through cultural, structural, and operational change. Most recently she was the East Coast Associate Business Director for a nationwide network of dental implant centers and the Regional Director of Operations for the Mid-Atlantic’s largest provider of outpatient medical and dental services. In these roles, she designed cost-saving initiatives that helped practices grow their business lines, in one case by 300 percent in just three years.
At Dental Startups GPS, Roza leverages her marketing and change management expertise and strong relationships within the regional dental industry to help new dental practices provide the best possible patient-centered care in environments poised for growth. She believes that by having the right marketing strategy, optimized systematic workflows, and well-trained staff, any dental practice can achieve its operational and financial goals.
Roza lives in Arlington, Virginia, and in addition to her own accomplishment she has helped her husband, who is a dentist, to successfully open multiple offices in the Washington D.C. metro area. In her spare time, she likes to travel the world with her husband and experience different cultures, foods, and visit historical sights.
Kourosh Ardekani, DDS
Dr. Ardekani has been named the top general and cosmetic dentists in D.C. and his interview has been featured on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, Bravo and many more. In addition to practicing dentistry, Dr. Ardekani is passionate about empowering his colleagues to grow their dental practices and become independent business owners and leaders!
Kourosh Ardekani, D.D.S, has been delivering quality, compassionate dental care to adults and children in the Washington, D.C., region since 2013. He opened DC Pearls Dental Boutique in 2017 with a vision of providing top-notch general dental services in a vibrant neighborhood that he loves.
A native of upstate New York, Dr. Ardekani received his doctor of dental surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry. To ensure his patients receive the best possible care, he continues to expand his scope of practice with recent certifications in endodontics—procedures involving the soft inner tissue of the teeth—and cosmetic dentistry. He is a certified Invisalign® provider and completed a fellowship in implant dentistry in 2014 with the California Implant Institute in San Diego. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the District of Columbia Dental Society, and is licensed in Virginia and Washington, D.C.
